We are resuming Your Django Story Series: Call for nominations for women to interview

Great news - we are re-introducing our former Django Badass Ladies which we run under the Your Django Story on a more regular basis! We first introduced the series in September 2014 with Anna Ossowski and Kinga Kięczkowska being the initial publishers of the blog posts. The series was continued regularly until August 2016 by Lacey Williams Henschel and Adrienne Lowe. 

All these awesome women were volunteering their time to edit and publish the blog posts from our badass ladies from all over the world. We are forever grateful for the work they put in in establishing Your Django Story as it helps Django Girls inspire and be inspired by other women who also work with Django.

From August 2016 till January 2018, no blog posts were published as part of the Your Django Story series. But this was not because there were no awesome ladies whom we could showcase, it was because our volunteer was unable to continue running the series. Between Jan 2018 and March 2018 we published some stories based on information supplied by respondents to the survey we carried out for our 2016 - 2017 Impact Report, but now we need help to get this going again. 

Since our volunteer community and alumni base have grown so rapidly, we would like to run the series again on a more regular basis, showcasing the work on a different Django badass lady each week. To do this, we need your help in identifying the awesome women in our community. 

Each week we will feature a new developer who tells us about how she got started on her journey with code, what she did before becoming a programmer, the cool things she’s currently working on, and much more. Each interview will also features advice for aspiring developers, which is always a great read!

Many of the women we’ve featured got their start at Django Girls workshops, and went on to found their own companies, secure full-time jobs as developers, and run Django Girls events.
