This is a post in our Your Django Story series where we highlight awesome ladies who work with Django. Read more about it here.

My name is Cristina Motinha Martins. I live in Rio de Janeiro, Brasil. I am twenty-three years old. After the workshop, I continued studying, and I ended up getting a job as a programmer!
I continued learning to programme and I really got into programming. I also started a Bachelor Degree in Computer Information Systems. Less than three months after attending the workshop, I got a job as a junior developer. I also became a Django Girls organizer!

Attending the workshop helped to be more confident to keep programming and studying, it gave me the strength to not give up. It gave me the confidence to look for a job as a developer and start university; and now, more than a year later, I’m still working as a programmer. I organized my first Django Girls at my university in Niterói in 2017, and it was one of the best days of my life. And now, in 2018, I’m organizing another one, again in Niterói!
Django Girls is a non-profit that teaches programming to women all around the world. Want to help us? Support us!
