Django Girls helped me become a developer!

My name is Dori Czapari. I am aged twenty-seven and live in Budapest, Hungary. I am a Python/Ruby developer and a former Django Girls workshop attendee.

After attending the Django Girls workshop, I kept learning to program and ended up working in tech as a developer. I also became involved in many tech activities in my city. This includes organizing Python meetups, Django Girls workshops and other coding events, as well as organizing, speaking at and attending tech diversity-themed events in Budapest. Currently, I am working on a diversity project focused on tech companies.

Thanks to the Django Girls workshop, I became an organizer and started participating in community events like meetups and conferences throughout Europe. I also made new friends. Django Girls helped me become a leader of the Budapest Python community, thereby becoming a role model/activist for women in tech in Hungary.
