Organizing the Django Girls Workshop for the first time was indeed an awesome experience. The Django Girls Delta, Effurun Workshop was held on 28th October 2017 at Kamit Schools Effurun. We had 31 girls that participated in the workshop with 12 coaches on the ground to guide the girls through the Django Girls Tutorial. The installation party was a day before the main-workshop and the girls enjoyed themselves with varieties of food, drinks and snacks. Special thanks to coaches who came from far and near to mentor these girls into the world of programming using Python and Django.
During the planning and execution stage of the workshop, we encountered some challenges which could have disrupted the delivery and standard of the workshop if I was working alone, but with the support and contribution from members of my organizing team, such challenges were overcome and we had a successful workshop. Thus, I understood better the importance of working as a team.
As a passionate lover of the Django Girls Mission which is also in line with my Vision of Life, the workshop was an opportunity for community services to humanity and society at large. It was very inspiring and encouraging to note that we had 4 nursing mothers at the workshop, and some of the girls came from outside Effurun just to attend the workshop. Girls from outside Effurun were accommodated in the same hotel with our coaches which also gave them a high sense of belonging.

We had awesome coaches like Coach Fabian Uzukwu from Onitsha, Coach David C. Onoh from Aba, Coach Agatevure Glory from Uyo, Coach Anthony Emmanuel C. from Ekpoma, Coach Fredrick Ughimi from Portharcourt, Coach Stephen Gabriel from Benin, Coach Awomi Paul Ziakede from Effurun, Coach Prince Tega Onojefemue from Effurun, Coach Akatugba Emmanuel Udre from Effurun, Coach Gharoro Pureheart from Effurun, Coach Usi Oghenekaro from Effurun, and Coach Anenu Albert from Effurun.
I would like to salute individuals who supported the workshop with the time and energy, these include Aiwuyuse Oluwaniyi Daniel, Obonyano Tony Efe, Megbuliofor Ayiri Abiodun Grant, Ajayi Boluwaji Isaac, Akeni Peter Peace, Ekokotu Oghenekevwe Kenneth, and Okome Alex.
It important to note that this workshop was a success because we had sponsorship from corporate organizations like Python Software Foundation, GitHub and ElasticSearch, and we also had corporate support from Kamit Schools Effurun, Favour Buttered Milk Bread, Complete Computers & Technology Limited, and Witty OGASKY Limited. Your sponsorship is highly appreciated.
Finally, I want to thank my co-organizers Mary Alenoghena, Temiloluwa Ruth Afape and Ejiroghene O. Adeniyi who were with me from the planning stage to execution stage. At the end Django Girls Delta Effurun Workshop was Approved, Planned, Packaged, Sealed and Delivered successfully in the city of Effurun-Nigeria.

In conclusion, organizing the Django Girls Delta, Effurun workshop was an opportunity for me to develop my leadership and people management skills which are very key to success in life. Thus I want to thank Django Girls for giving me this great and awesome opportunity to develop myself.
