Django Software Foundation joining Django Girls Foundation as Global Partner

Once again, it’s a huge pleasure for us to announce another global partner joining Django Girls - one of our long-time supporters, the Django Software Foundation!

The Django Software Foundation is an independent foundation established as a 501©(3) non-profit which supports the development of Django. Like most open-source foundations, the goal of the Django Software Foundation is to promote, support, and advance its open-source project: in this case, the Django Web framework.

The foundation’s goals are to support the development of Django by sponsoring sprints, meetups, gatherings and community events; promote the use of Django among the world-wide Web development community; protect the intellectual property and the framework’s long-term viability, and advance the state of the art in Web development.

The Django Software Foundation has long supported Django Girls by sponsoring individual events in many countries, especially developing countries which find it hard to find sponsorships.

We couldn’t be more happy to have them on board as a Global Django Girls Partner.
