Anna Makarudze joins as the Django Girls Fundraising Coordinator!

The Django Girls team is expanding again! We’re super excited to announce the latest addition to our team. Anna Makarudze joins us as our Fundraising Coordinator. Anna lives in Harare, Zimbabwe, and was born and raised in Masvingo. She is an ICT consultant as well as a Python/Django developer.

Anna has been involved with Django Girls since 2016 when she organised the first workshop in her hometown of Masvingo. Since then, Anna has hosted two workshops in Harare, with a third planned in August 2017. Anna has also coached for Django Girls Windhoek in 2016 and 2017!

If that wasn’t enough, Anna is also one of the organisers of PyCon Zimbabwe. The first PyCon Zimbabwe was organised in November last year, and the second is planned for this August. She also started PyLadies Harare December last year and is a volunteer on the DSF CofC Committee. How amazing!!!!!

We’re very happy that Anna is joining our team to help the organisation grow, and become even more awesome!
