Aisha, Rachell and Dayoung join the Django Girls Support Team!

We couldn’t be any happier to announce that three amazing women joined the Django Girls Support Team in the recent weeks. We were amazed with all of their contributions to the Django Girls community so far, and we’re so excited to see how their energy, enthusiasm and ideas change what’s next for us.

🎉 Aisha Bello attended Django Girls at EuroPython in Bilbao, and then became a superstar organizer of Django Girls events in Namibia and Nigeria. She’s been incredibly helpful in coordinating all Nigerian Django Girls events even before she joined the team, and we are so happy to have her on board. You can read her story here.

Dayoung Park is a serial Django Girls organizer of events in Seoul, and helped create a bootcamp in Seoul for all attendees who wish to continue learning programming after their adventure with Django Girls. She was also one of the translators our tutorial into Korean. Dayoung is awesome!

🙌 Rachell Calhoun organized Django Girls Seoul and Grand Rapids, and she’s been continuously inspiring us with her ideas and work on making Django Girls more accessible for non-English speakers. Read about her story!

Yay! 💞 Congratulations, and welcome on board. 🚀

😿 We’re also sadly saying goodbyes to Baptiste Mispelon, who’s been with us in the Django Girls Support Team from the very beginning and stepped down earlier this year. Baptiste is Django Girls’ Chief Emojifier for life, and we’re so so grateful for everything he’s done to help create a more diverse Python community.
