Claire Wicher joins Django Girls as Awesomeness Ambassador! ✨

After year and a half, Django Girls’ 1st Awesomeness Ambassador Lucie Daeye resigned to start her new adventure as Systems Engineer at Mapbox. We’re very grateful for all her hard work and contributions she made to Django Girls during her time here, and wishing her good luck!

This week, Claire Wicher is joining Django Girls to fill in Lucie’s role. Claire organized her first Django Girls event in Manchester, UK in February 2016. She is known on the internet as GirlGeekUpNorth, works as a Digital Skills Training Manager for MadLab and in her spare time, organizes community events in UK.

Claire is the force of nature behind BarCamp Manchester, the Founder of CodeUp UK, and co-organiser of Django Girls and Rails Girls Manchester. She is also the Code Club Champion for the North West, a Raspberry Pi Certified Educator, National Coding Week Ambassador & Pi-Top Champion.

We cannot wait to see what Claire’s wealth of experience will bring to Django Girls!
