On the 9th of April the 3rd edition of Django Girls took place in Wrocław, Poland. Out of 192 received applications, we selected 32 lucky participants. This time, we were hosted by Pixers in their premises located by the river in the heart of our beautiful city. Software installation has begun on Friday. In addition to the positive energy and laptops, the Girls were full of enthusiasm and brought delicious treats to ease our time during the workshop.

The real work started Saturday morning. In addition to tasty breakfast, coffee and tea, there were gifts from the sponsors waiting for our participants.

Despite rainy weather, the moods where very cheerful and people just could not resist smiling. The girls were asking many questions and kept our mentors busy at all time. Each incomprehensible part of tutorial was clarified and every bug fixed. Not once the tiredness was noticeable on girls’ faces and all the mentors were cheering them on! For this, we are very thankful to all of our mentors and we admire them so much.
As a former participant who became member of the organization crew, I know how hard it is to stay focused long hours trying to figure out something new without giving up, no matter the failures.

During break everyone was surprised by the yummy lunch that charged up our coders’ batteries.

To sum up, we would probably have sat like this till late night hours. However, this day was meant to end with a chilling afterparty in the city.
We heard lots of warm words and appreciations during workshop.
We would also like thank:
Our mentors:

Apart from their time and attention, they have brought some new life to adopt.

Many thanks to our sponsors:

Without them, it would have been impossible to organize this event.
And, most of all, we would like to thank all the Django Girls for their active participation and passion.
We hope you ‘caught the bug’ and see you in IT world!

I would like to personally thank for the great support to: Ania, Agata and Kasia :) !
Best wishes,
